Wellness in Wellies
I am the founder of Wellness in Wellies. I have worked with children and young people in education, pastoral support and Equine Assisted Learning for over 30 years. I am a licensed Thrive practitioner and Equimotional coach. I started Wellness In Wellies with the aim of ensuring every young person not only has access to the outdoors, but the opportunity to learn new skills, improve their mental health, build relationships and confidence and, most importantly, have a good time!
What do we offer?
All of our courses are run, during term time, for an hour a week for six consecutive weeks. Generally, each student will begin with an introductory course, allowing them the opportunity to work alongside all of our animals in a variety of environments The course explores topics such as building relationships, refining leadership skills, animal welfare expectations, behaviours, and emotions through activities such as grooming, leading, feeding, observing, decorating, and obstacle courses. The six week course costs £395
Each course will be adapted to benefit the individual, allowing them to explore the themes and subjects that are important to them, whilst still building their confidence, resilience and life skills. Upon completion of the introductory course students can move onto more tailored and complex courses, depending on their need and interests.
If you think our service would support your child's current needs, contact PSC who will connect us to have an initial chat.
